The Catholic Bishops of Sudan on Sunday celebrated the Holy Eucharist on the Tomb of St. Peter, inside St. Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican.

Bishop Caesar Mazzolari of Rumbek Diocese told Radio Good News that the Eucharistic celebration was a very high moment in the Bishops’ ongoing official visit to the Pope and the Vatican offices.

Bishop Mazzolari said the bishops pledged to remember all the people of Sudan.

He added that as Rumbek’s Bishop he recommend to the Lord and to the Head of the Apostles, St. Peter, to bless all the people of the diocese and to intercede for peace for the entire nation.

Thirteen Catholic bishops and head of diocese of Sudan are at the Vatican for their visit AD LIMINA, an event that takes place every five years.

During the visit, they visit the tombs of the Apostles Peter and Paul and report to the Pope and the Vatican offices on the state of their dioceses.
