The Archbishop of Juba said the Sudanese bishops are bringing to the Holy Father the Sudan during the visit they are paying to the Vatican offices starting on Monday.
Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro explained to SCR News before he left for Italy yesterday the purpose of the call bishops make to the Pope every five years, the so called ad limina visit.Archbishop Paolino said the visit is a very important event and the bishops bring with them the clergy, religious and the faithful of their dioceses and of Sudan at large.
Addressing the current political situation, Archbishop Paolino recalled the pastoral letter he wrote saying that even in matters of politics the voice of the people is the voice of God.
The Archbishop urged Christian politicians to bring God into politics.
Archbishop Paolino appealed for calm and respect during the elections campaign.
He asked the Catholic community to accompany the bishops’ visit to the Pope with their prayers.
