Parties and independent candidates have to notify the respective authorities about their campaign activities three days before they take place.

The National Elections Commission posted in its website a circular on campaign activities with the rights and duties on candidates.

NEC says that the circular issued on February 22 seeks to create a balance between the right of political parties and candidates to organize campaign activities and the duty of police forces in keeping public order and preserve the rights of others.

The Circular says that parties and individual candidates have to inform the respective authorities about their political activities and seek permission 72 hours beforehand for the purpose of security, protection and organization of traffic.
