GoSS Ministry of Information and Broadcasting is holding today its Second State’s Ministerial Coordinating Workshop in Juba to strengthen ties with its states counterparts.
The gathering is organized for all the State Ministers of Information and Communications from Southern Sudan to discuss the National Elections Commission’s strategy in the coming elections period.The workshop is important as Southern Sudan prepares for general elections, scheduled for April 2010, and referendum in 2011.
Guest speakers include Dr. Riak Machar Teny, GoSS Vice-President; Dr. Luka Biong, Minister of Presidential Affairs; Michael Makuei Lueth, Minister of Legal Affairs and Constitutional Development; Gier Chuang Aluong, Minister of Internal Affairs; and Dr. Jalal Mohamed Ahmed, the National Elections Commission Secretary General.
