Addressing participants during a media guideline workshop in Juba, Prof. Akolda Man Tier said the elections law says that political parties should provide financial support to their candidates.
Mr. Tier added that the candidates must also have their own funding according to the lection law.
He added that the law also may or may not fund the parties.
NEC OFFICIAL ADVISES POLITICAL PARTIES TO FUND THEIR CANDIDATES
The commissioner of the National Elections Commission NEC has called upon political parties in the country to fund their own candidates advising them not to expect any funding from the commission or the government.
