About 260 million dollars worth of goods was traded between Uganda and southern Sudan last year, an official said.
Nelson Gaggawala Wambuzi, the Ugandan trade state minister, said that the goods to southern Sudan tripled. In 2006, goods worth over 60 million dollars were traded between the two countries, New Vision website reported.Mr. Gaggawala challenged the ministry’s staff to ensure programmes that help villagers to produce goods for sale.
The Catholic Radio Network (CRN) is a media project constituted by community-based radio stations broadcasting in Frequency Modulation from Juba, Yei, Torit, Yambio, Rumbek, Tonj, Wau, and Malakal. For its outreach, CRN has a potential audience of about seven million people, considering the influx of returnees to South Sudan after the Sudan Population Census 2008.
