Norwegian Peoples Aid is training 20 people on monitoring the media during the upcoming elections in collaboration with the International Media Support.
Brigitte Sins, International Media Support project manager, told SCR News that the media monitors will watch how all south Sudan media outlets will be covering elections.
Ms. Sins explained that the monitors will be in all media houses recording time and space allocated to the different contestants during the elections campaign.
The monitors will report and store the information at the monitor center that will be based in juba.
Ms. Sins called upon all media houses to cooperate with the monitors and contribute to free and fair elections in the country.
