The southern assembly resolved yesterday that the abandoned Kapoeta hospital should be funded in the supplementary budget in order to help it revive its health duties to the region.
Dr. David Mairo explained to the parliamentarians that Kapoeta hospital is one of the modern hospitals in south Sudan although it was not being used.
He added that the supplementary budget should fund the health facility that can be used as a referral hospital for the region as an alternative to hospitals in Uganda and Kenya.
Still on health issues, the Southern Sudan Legislative Assembly also recommended the construction of ten Primary Health Units in each state in Southern Sudan.
