A Ugandan trade expo is due to start in Juba for the first time next week to deepen economic relations between the two countries.
Migadde Habib is the Ugandan head of Chancery for Ugandan consulate. He told journalists today that his countrymen and women trading in southern Sudan are preparing an International Trade Fair Exhibition in Juba.
Mr. Habib said this is the first time Uganda organizes a pilot trade show in southern Sudan.
He added that the event is a way of enhancing economic, social, political and cultural relation between Uganda and southern Sudan.
Mr. Habib said trade in goods and services is key for the development of the region and the expo will be done annually.
He added that through this trade exhibition the two business communities will learn from each other and find amicable solutions to the challenges they face in their businesses relations.
The Ugandan International Community Trade Fair Exhibition will take place at GoSS Ministry of Commerce and Industry from February 10 to 14 in Juba.
