Catholic Bishop of Torit has called on Christians to maintain family unity for modelling society into a peaceful relationship.
Bishop Johnson Akio Mutek told the congregation d at Our Lady of Assumption Church in Torit yesterday that Christians need to set the family as the starting point of unity, Radio Emmanuel reported.Bishop Akio called on the family heads and those who hold leadership positions in the society to be exemplary in portraying unity.
The bishop of Torit cautioned against inciting people into division and conflict.
He added that this is a crucial moment where people need to unite and face the challenges together.
Bishop Akio said unity stops the devil from trying to bring violence and harm into society.
