Magwi County in Eastern Equatoria State yesterday received an ambulance donated by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees to assist in the provision of health services in the area.
UNHCR Assistant Field officer in charge of Magwi County, Charles Moga, presented the donation on behalf of the organization at the belated CPA anniversary celebrations in Nimule Payam headquarters, Radio Emmanuel reported.
Mr. Moga said the ambulance is to aid over 20 thousand returnees repatriated to Magwi and other surrounding counties from the neighbouring countries last year.
A crowd of over two thousand people turned up for the CPA anniversary celebrations organized by Magwi County at Nimule, coinciding with the opening of a new payam administration block.
