UN HUMAN RIGHTS WATCHDOG VISITS JUBA

The UN independent expert on the human rights situation in the Sudan is visiting Juba during his first official trip to the country.

Justice Muhamed Chande Othman arrived in Khartoum two days ago and tomorrow will be in Juba to hold meetings with Southern Sudan officials.

During his stay Mr. Othman he will meet members of civil society to listen to their concerns over human rights issues in the region.

Mr. Othan’s first fact finding mission to the Sudan will take him also to Darfur and to the three special areas during 17 days.
