The nonprofit Sudanese Education Fund (SEF) recently received a 60,000 dollar two-year grant from an anonymous donor to fund the Sudanese Student Alliance Program.

The program formalizes a 10-year long cultural exchange and fundraising relationship between the South Sudanese community and Boston Area College, high school and middle school students in the USA.

This program will be administered by SEF and will promote Sudanese and American cultural exchanges.

Two Sudanese will work as program managers and act as ambassadors to the schools that the students in the group attend.

The ambassadors will be available to the schools for presentations and small group workshops.

The program will offer workshops about Sudan for the American students at the South Sudanese Community Center covering the history of South Sudan, stories of Lost Boys from Sudan, slavery in Sudan, and the art of Sudan.
