Archbishop Cyprian Kizito Lwanga said he was overwhelmed by the Muslim leaders’ warm welcome, Catholic Culture website reported.
He added that Christians and Muslims are brothers and sisters.
Archbishop Lwanga said the brotherhood should be maintained, and the religious leaders should carry it on to God’s subjects to live in peace and harmony.
Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubajje, on his turn, urged the two faith families to concentrate on what builds rather than on what disunites.
He added that he admired Christians because they handle their misunderstandings calmly, unlike Muslims.
Sheikh Mubajje said conflicts are everywhere and if handled well they can enhance development.
