The chairperson of Election High Committee in Eastern Equatoria state has left his job in order to become a bishop in the Episcopal Church of Sudan.

Rev. Enoch Tombe was appoint Bishop of Raja while serving as elections chief in Eastern Equatoria.

Bishop Tombe hands over his office tomorrow to Joseph Ojukwu Ikarak, the new elections chairman in Eastern Equatoria, Radio Emmanuel reported.

A junior officer at Eastern Equatoria State Election High Committee said the new ECS bishop desires to dedicate his energies to shepherding the flock of the Lord and that he opted to hand over office.

Eastern Equatoria state is organizing a ceremony to bid good-bye to the outgoing chairperson and receive the new High Committee head at Hotel Torit.
