EASTERN EQUATORIA PARLIAMENT EXTENDS RECESS TILL NEXT WEEK TO CELEBRATE CPA

Eastern Equatoria State Legislative Assembly has extended its adjournment till next Monday after it closed for Christmas break to allow MPs to take part in the Celebrations of the Fifth Anniversary of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement on January 9.
Speaker Sabina Dario Lokolong announced the adjournment yesterday when the Assembly resumed business following Christmas holidays.

Ms. Lokolong said members of the legislative Assembly have to prepare for CPA celebration due Saturday, January 9, to be held in Ikwoto County.

She announced the extension of the adjournment saying the Assembly will resume business on Monday.

The Eastern Equatoria State Legislative Assembly adjourned on December 18 for Christmas.

The Assembly is constituted by appointed Members of Parliament and like in other states it will dissolve this month to pave way to the April elections.
