MINISTRY OF HEALTH TO RECRUIT MAN-POWER FROM NEIGHBORING COUNTRIES

The Ministry of Health of Eastern Equatoria State plans to recruit technical staff from the neighboring countries in bid to improve service provision to the people in the region.

The state Minister of Health, Hon. Florence Night Otto, made this statement to Radio Emmanuel.

She said that her government will work closely with partners in the sector to ensure that the health situation in Eastern Equatoria State improves. One way for improving service delivery is by employing technical staff from neighboring countries, like Uganda and Kenya.

Hon. Night said that the recommendation for the states to consider recruiting staff from Uganda and Kenya was made by the Ministry of Health of GOSS.

The minister also said she considers employ also health and nutrition personnel from the neighboring states.

She emphasizes that her ministry awaits the Legislative Assembly of Esteran Equatoria to pass a resolution, for the state Ministry of Health to officially begin make contacts with the ministry of health in Uganda and Kenya, pending approval of the 2010 budget.
