Youth chairperson in the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba said workshops are making great changes in young Catholics.
Lawrence Swaka Tongun told SCR News that whenever the youth in the archdiocese takes part in some workshop changes happen.Mr. Swaka said that the changes were notified during the visits conducted by the youth to different prayers centres.
He advised the youth to refrain from drinking alcohol during Christmas celebrations.
Mr. Swaka added that Christmas should not be taken as a social occasion but as a religious celebration.
The youth leader was speaking at the official opening of a three-day workshop for the young of St. Joseph’s parish.
Liturgy, leadership, role of the youth in the church, alcoholism and marriage life in the Church are among the topics covered by the event.
The workshop began today and ends Saturday.
