The leader of the Sudan African National Union (SANU) has called upon the governments of National Unity and Southern Sudan to fund the political parties or else risk an election that is neither free nor fair.

Dr. Toby Madut told SCR News that parties do not have funds and their membership is unable to assist them with money.

Dr Madut complained that the elections will take place during the rainy season.

He called for a review in the voting process saying voters will get confused when they get 12 ballot papers.

Dr. Madut appreciated efforts of some NGOs that have contributed to the capacity building of political parties.
