The representative of Kenya in Southern Sudan said today that his country is proud to contribute to the establishment of peace in the region because peace and war do not know borders.
Kenya Consul General in Juba, Joseph K. Kiplagat, said today in a press conference that his country has the privilege to collaborate in the consolidation of peace in Southern Sudan.
Dr. Kiplagat said that Kenya is participating in the reconstruction of Southern Sudan through official commitments and private investments.
He thanks GoSS for allowing Kenyans to share their expertise in the spirit of regional co-operation and integration.
Dr. Kiplagat wished Southern Sudan success for the last lap of the interim period.
He added that both countries share a common border and heritage through cultural, economic and geographical ties.
Dr. Kiplagat was speaking at Kenya’s Consulate in Juba to mark the 46th anniversary of Kenya’s independence that occurred today.
