The Police Commissioner of Tonj South County has urged drivers to slow down in town to avoid road accidents.

Joseph Mayiei Aru told Don Bosco FM that drivers are causing many accidents in Tonj due to high speed.

He said that some drivers are trying to show off their abilities and cause accidents in the process.

Mr Mayiei stated that the use of drugs and alcoholic drinks are another major cause of accidents.

He urged drivers to keep the 30-kilometer per hour speed limit in town to avoid knocking down old people, children and drunkards.
