The High Court of Juba on Friday fixed a date to pass the final judgment to the four accused suspects who are still in custody after releasing two others in March under section 226 criminal procedures for lack of evidence.

Justice Alexander Sebur Subek announced that the court will pass the verdict for the four remaining suspects of the Rumbek bishop-elect shooting on 15th April 2022.

The defense lawyer to the accused suspects, Malith Jok Thiang says the Friday session was the final submission of the case file and their findings to the case.

“Today is the final submission, so both the prosecution team and the defense submitted their findings we are only waiting for the judgment”, he explained.

He added that, the date fixed is fine with them.
