The Catholic Priest of Torit Diocese is telling Christians to prepare themselves to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Father Joseph Logura encourages the faithful to clean their hearts from all kind of sinful behaviour.

“Today Jesus is inviting us to instead change our hearts to prepare ourselves to celebrate the birthday of Christ Jesus. When you are approaching that day, you have to be pure in heart. You remove all the grudges all the hatred that are in your heart so that you receive him with pure heart and love”, says Fr Logura.

Fr Logura calls on the Christians to be strong in faith. “I think this is the message Prophet Isaac try to put across today that we prepare ourselves spiritually not materially. But it is not bad for sanitation purpose if you are preparing cleaning the entire place. It is good for sanitation because your environment will be clean and will keep you free from sicknesses. But it is not what Jesus is meaning us to do. Today we have heard a reading prepare the way so that when he comes he is moving in very clean place”.

The priest was giving his homily during Sunday mass at Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral.
