The Commissioner of Torit East County reports that forty three cattle have been raided from Tirangore village on Wednesday night.

Toby Majak Thomas says footmarks of the cattle can be seen along the way to Kideopo River approaching Kimotong County of Kapoeta State.

But he says it is not clear where the cows ended, but authorities are still tracing out.

“The seventeen of March, there were forty three cows raided from Tirangore village. Is not yet identified, but the footmarks were followed up to Kideopo River. The place where they ended is not yet known. Whether they went up to Kideopo or come back, we don’t know. The cows were taken at night. Nobody knows.

He adds that he has shared the matter with Kimotong County authorities in Kapoeta State to help trace out the stolen cows from the area.

“Yesterday evening, I called the Executive Director and I told them to follow up the cattle so that they are returned to the owners. These cattle sometimes go straight to Kimotong and come back. But this time, we don’t know. We don’t know, Commissioner Majak insists.

Radio Emmanuel could not reach Kapoeta authorities for comments.
