The citizens in Yei River State are excited and hopeful of lasting peace in South Sudan following the visit of the presidency to Vatican for spiritual retreat organized by Pope Francis.
Samuel Sabata expects the leaders to come with renewed spiritual ways of leadership in order for peace to reign in the country, Radio Easter reports.
He urges the leaders to imitate the example of Saul who changed to be a good person after Jesus approached him and later was given the name Paul
Sabata expresses happiness for the leaders realizing their mistakes and uniting for peace in the youngest nation.
He adds that people are tired of war and listening to cries and suffering of women.
Sabata was expressing his views to Radio Easter on Saturday in Yei.
