The Governor of Nuba Mountains in South Kordofan said all citizens in the state are unhappy with continuity of Sudan’s military rulers.
The statement came on Friday after Sudan’s military Council appointed Awad Mohammed Ibn Ouf, President.
Governor Al-Nur Saleh Albadi, said he did not see any change in the Sudan’s leadership because the Islamic Fundamentalists are the ones in power and have been in power for long without any positive change.
Governor Albadi added that they anticipate more killings and bloodshed as it is the same government from the National Congress Party in power.
He said the interim period of two years announced by the current government is what Al-Bashir has promised in 2020 that he would step down.
The governor called on Nuba citizens to continue supporting fellow Sudanese in Khartoum in order to get the right person in the leadership.
Long-time President Omar al-Bashir was overthrown and arrested on Thursday after months of protests.
But demonstrators say the military council which has taken power is part of the same regime.
Citizens in the Sudan forced the new President Awad Mohammed Ibn Ouf to resign because they do not like military rule.
