The Director General in the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry in Tonj State says trees are sources of rain in human life.

James Akech Agang calls upon communities to avoid burning of grass and random cutting of trees across the state.

He says laws guiding forest are there to administer anyone found cutting trees without permission from their ministry.

The Director-General also cautions the entire community to avoid random cutting of trees because there are trees that can give people fruits, medicine and food.

Planting of many trees across Tonj is not a government work alone, but it is a sole responsibility of all citizens of this state, he emphasizes.

The speaker made the remarks on Wednesday in Tonj.
