A priest in the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio is calling on Christians to be moderate and watchful for the coming of Jesus Christ which is the joyous expectation to all people.
Fr Louis Nvuekama Tamoata Parish Priest of St Mary Yambio preaches that during Advent, people should not prefer luxurious life or expecting more worldly things.
The priest adds that people should fear or feel the Lord has abandoned them because of difficult things they go through in life.
He appeals to the congregation to re-examine their spiritual conscience and be prayerful in order to be closer to God.
The parish priest adds that during Advent time people should be righteous and be responsible in the family, community and the nation with dedication and love of God.
He advises family members not to worry about what they will eat during Christmas, but rather they should be prayerful, righteous and do the right things all the time.
The speaker made the remark during his homily on Sunday at St Mary Cathedral in Yambio.
