Three men were injured following the shooting on Friday night by a youth in Tirangore village, Torit East County.

Commissioner Toby Majak Thomas confirmed to Radio Emmanuel on Monday that a man identified only as Juma opened fire to the crowd who came to rescue their in-law whom they surrounded to torture.

The official said no arrest has been made as the perpetrator escaped during the incident.

According to commissioner, the youth who sought after their in-law claim their brother was trying to scare people from coming to rescue by shooting the gun.

He calls for calm among the relatives of the victims to give law a chance as the incident was not intentional.

Commissioner Majak encourages youth to always rescue any incident that might disrupt public security in the area.
