Tonj State Legislative Assembly on Tuesday resumed its new session after three-month recess.
 
According to Don Bosco Radio, Assembly Speaker Mario Malok Lual thanks God for keeping the members healthy until their return.
 
He points out that insecurity is the major challenge blocking government activities in the state.
 
Juakic Malek Agei, Chairlady of Economic Committee, complains lack of women representation against in institutions in the state.
 
She appeals to the government to oversee the challenges facing women in Tonj.
 
Francis Marial Abur, acting governor says the government will stand side by side with civilians to maintain security in the state.
 
He calls on youth to stop communal conflicts in the society and embrace peace.
 
The officials were speaking during the reopening of Tonj State Assembly on Tuesday.
