Students of Torit Health Science Institute on Wednesday expressed their joy after receiving new classroom CORDAID constructed last year.
 
Principal of the Institute Tobia Magezi, during the opening remarks the school had only one block with three classrooms hindering lectures for other classes.
 
He thanked the partner for availing them a new block, Radio Emmanuel reports.
 
Magezi recognizes the cooperation of the state officials to overcome challenges of inadequate space for learning.
 
He says his administration will cooperate in the same way to overcome challenges of classrooms pharmaceutical department face.
 
Thomas Oromo, a student representative says, lack of tutors, internet and library among others are still major challenges affecting the institution.
 
Torit State Acting Minister of Health Dr Margret Idwa says government has taken note of the challenges and can be address one after another as the country attains peace.
 
She urges students to study hard to achieve their goals in order to improve the health of the country.
 
CORDAID Country director Hubert Charles applauds the state government for taking community health seriously by building health human resources school in the state.
 
While handing over the keys to the state government and to the school administration, the country director says his organization have started answering some challenges facing the school going Professionals by providing classroom
 
Torit health institute was established in 2015 with the aim of addressing gaps in health human resource sector.
 
It currently hosts more than 400 students in departments of nursing, midwifery, clinical officers and laboratory technicians with its first batch finalizing this years.
