A priest in the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio has urged the general public to make better use of this second season by cultivating and planting variety of seeds.
Anisa Radio quoted Fr. Anthony Bangoye acknowledging the poor harvest of maize in the first planting season.
He advises the residents to be prepared for the second season and plant other types of crops in the farms for positive outcome.
The priest recommends those people who did not harvest properly, to be patient and get ready for the second cultivation period.
He warns people against selling everything they harvested to end up with no money to buy seeds for the next harvest after using all.
He spoke to Anisa Radio on Tuesday in Kuria Village.
