The two-day training of female leaders supported by System to uphold the Credibility and Constitutionality of the Elections in South Sudan begun on Tuesday in Rumbek, Western Lakes State.
The female leaders who came from various community-based, civil society organizations and girls in secondary schools will be equipped with computer basic skills to perform their duties more effectively.
Malith Makuei Angadie, IT Focal person, says the training is to strengthen female leaders to be more competent to take up roles in their organizations.
He says the training is targeting 18 members on computer packages on Microsoft word, Internet, power point and excel in two days.
Makuei describes the training as important because it will help the female leaders to access and be connected to their daily work.
Hakim Chipuou-Nyuc Awur, User committee chairperson, says the training will help women to be competent in their business and other development activities in the society.
He also encourages women to use the centre daily for their benefit by attending trainings and community discussions.
About 18 female’s leaders will benefit from these two days training that began on Tuesday and expected to end on Wednesday in Rumbek.
The training is being conducted by Disabled Agency for Rehabilitation and Development.
