The Central Bank of South Sudan announced that it has introduced five hundred South Sudanese Pounds notes in the country.

The note size will have 154 millimeters length by 79.5 millimeters width and a water mark of the portrait of Dr John Garang.

It will be light green with the Bank of South Sudan on the upper part.

Expert analysis says South Sudanese Pound has now reached a point of losing its original value by 1000 percent.

Last year The Central Bank devalues the SSP by 34 percent to reduce the volatile pricing, curb the black market and encourage foreign investment.
