The Administrator and Agriculture Director of Kumbur Payam in Nuba Mountains call on citizens to engage in agricultural activities to reduce farming.
Speaking to Radio Voice of Peace on Monday, the Administrator Isaam Mohammed asks citizens to invest in farming to produce enough food to become self-reliant. Radio Voice of Peace reports.
Agriculture Director, Hutura John Lalu also urges citizens to put agriculture as priority and begin planting seeds.
He says the prices of goods are rising up due to lack of food because many people did not cultivate.
He directs all the cattle herders in the Payam to keep away their animals from reaching farms.
The director says they are working together with the Nuba Secretariat of Agriculture to invest more food in the region.
