As annual diocesan general assembly meeting concludes in Torit, Dean of Eastern Deanery in the Catholic Diocese of Torit is calling on priests to embrace united pastoral efforts.

Fr John Wajaras Sebit, Parish Priest of St Mathew’s Ikwoto, urges all priests and those working in other departments of the diocese including Caritas Torit to be committed for the success of the pastoral work.

Fr Wajaras encourages the team to be exemplary in faith and commitment to the Christian community of the diocese.

Speaking on behalf of the parish priests, Sts Peter and Paul’s Cathedral Parish Priest Fr Jackino Lomogo blames war for crippling the pastoral work of the diocese.

He calls on his fellow Parish Priests to sacrifice their efforts and deliver despite challenges.

For his part, Caritas Torit Managing Director, William Okot Tobby, calls on the participants to put into practice all resolutions attained during the meeting.

He stresses on the need to put right all unclear issues and minimize them in the next meeting for better performance.

Okot reveals that there is need for technical personnel to develop a new strategic plan for Caritas Torit.
