The Midwife in charge of Maternity Complex at Torit State Hospital is warning girls against early pregnancy to avoid complications during birth.
 
Okolong Jacob Solomon says many pregnancies among teenagers that are poorly managed can affect the life of a mother and baby.
 
He says early pregnancy indicates lack of preparedness.
 
The midwife advises pregnant teenagers to seek medical care for safe deliveries.
 
He tells parents to educate their girls on dangers of early pregnancy.
 
Jacob criticizes the unwillingness of mothers to seek medical care during pregnancies.
 
He says pregnant girls should come to the facility at early stage.
 
The midwife says pregnancy cannot be handled in the community because there maybe complications which doctors can manage than untrained birth attendance.
 
The midwife spoke to Radio Emmanuel at Torit Medical Complex on Wednesday.
