Gaining pride over earthly gifts is of no meaning in Christianity, Parish Priest of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary in the Catholic Diocese of Torit warns believers.

Father Noel Oguagu says many South Sudanese use their positions to measure the levels of commitment to God, Radio Emmanuel reports.

Christians will only succeed in life if they consider themselves as one people of God, he cautions.

Father Oguagu urges Christians to have strong faith in God and always seek for wisdom so as to be blessed in all kinds of work they do.

He calls on Christians to commit to God because boasting for titles is worthless before Him.

Fr Oguagu discloses that many Christians spent a lot of time selling their reputation; deceiving citizens for their personal gains which he believes cannot take them anywhere.

Parish Priest Noel Oguagu was preaching at Our Lady of Holy Rosary Parish in Torit.
