Security agents arrested an SPLA-IO commander in Magwi County of Imatong State along with other seven soldiers, confirms Governor.
 
Tobiolo Alberio Oromo told on Sunday that Brigadier Mathew Aharanyia Dominic was arrested while on his way to Palaka of Ayachi County, Radio Emmanuel reports.
 
The Governor calls on the armed opposition still holding guns in bushes to come home and work for peace in the country.
 
He expresses government’s readiness to respect their rights.
 
It is everybody’s responsibility to contribute for the development of the nation, he adds.
 
SPLA-IO Commander Aharanyia says it was his personal decision to join the government.
 
He calls on fellow armed men to come and join the peace process and their families.
 
The commander expresses commitment to work for peace and development.
 
He says IO soldiers in the bush are ready for peace, but are waiting for orders from their leader Dr Riek Machar.
 
The speakers made the remarks while talking to the press at Imotong State Governor resident on Sunday.
