Thousands of Christians in Torit on Saturday gathered at Our Lady of Holy Rosary parish to celebrate the opening of the new church building.
The Church that took nearly ten years of construction.
 
While addressing the faithful in the new Church, Monsignor Thomas Oliha Atia thanks the late Bishop Johnson Akio Mutek for initiating the initiative in 2007, Emmanuel Radio reports.
 
Monsignor Oliha similarly thank the faithful for actively participating towards the success in building the new Church despite challenges the country undergoes
 
 
He tells Christians to become active in faith through their contribution towards the Church.
 
Monsignor Olihasays Christians should begin living good lives and put the word of God in practice.
 
The apostolic administrator decries over 25 priests who lost lives in 34 years of existence of the Catholic Diocese of Torit.
 
Hundreds of faithful at Our Lady of Rosary Parish say they are happy with the new Church building which will occupy more Christians during mass.
