Christians in the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio on Thursday conducted a requiem mass for Fr Richard Mangu Mayani who died last Saturday.
 
Dr Gboono John, Diocesan Health Manager during funeral mass says the late developed diarrhea and vomiting that let to the untimely death, Anisa Radio reports.
 
He appeals to parents to rush their children suffering from diarrhea to a health facility for early treatment.
 
Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala consoles both Priests and the family members of the late father Richard Mangu, to believe in God at this difficult moment.
 
He urges priests not to put their family as their first priority but rather serve the people of God.
 
Bishop Hiiboro appeals to Christians to help priests so that they may have enough time to preach the word of God.
 
Fr Richard Mangu was ordained priest in 1994 in Khartoum and he had served in different parts of the diocese including in Hoima in Uganda Major Seminary as Rector.
 
He was laid to rest on Monday in his home Parish in Naandi Catholic Parish in Ezo County.
