Global AIM has on Wednesday provided food items to group of farmers in Abalua Boma of Torit County to help them while waiting for this year’s harvest.

More than two hundred farmers gathered at Hai Askal and received the relief items, Radio Emmanuel reports.

Alfred Oburak Olivio, Global AIM Programme Officer says his organization distributed cooking oil, maize floor, salt, sugar and beans.

He says the local population is used to cultivating long term crops which cannot help them soon.

The Programme Officer says the beneficiaries receive 13 kilogram of beans and Maize flour and 3 litters of oil only.

Victor Lira Robert, Relief and Rehabilitation Commission Coordinator in Imotong State, says the distribution targets group of farmers in Imatong State.

The Officials were talking to Radio Emmanuel during the food distribution in Torit County on Wednesday.
