Teachers in Gbudue State are calling on the government to recognize them in South Sudan.
Some Primary and Secondary School Teachers in Yambio regret that, they are producing different intellectuals in the world but their work is not well recognized, Radio Anisa reports.
Batista Elia Rasi is the head teacher in Alpha Christian Nursery and Primary School in Yambio.
He describes teachers as “the key of the world and making life easier and rich to people.
Elia is now 50 Years’ experienced teacher; he says he is not regretting being a teacher despite the circumstance facing them but he enjoys seeing his students becoming leaders.
Mr Isaac Akwera from ECS Secondary School urges teachers not to leave their profession because of the current situation in the country.
Joseph Sumee, Yambio County Education Director calls on all the parents to join hands with teachers to promote quality education system in South Sudan.
World Teachers' Day is celebrated every year on 5th October.
