Minister for African affairs of United Kingdom, says he is shocked with the impact of the ongoing war on civil population and vulnerable people in South Sudan.
 
Speaking at the closure of his three-day visit to Juba, Rory Stewart calls on the political leaders of South Sudan to stop war and save lives of the people 
 
He expresses pride to see the UK at the forefront of the international response, saving and protecting lives in South Sudan.
 
The UK diplomats vows that his government will work with the international community and all armed parties to commit to a peace process and tackle the underlying causes of conflict.
 
He urges the national government to take the lead to bring an immediate end to violent conflict across the country.
 
The Minister met with UN staff in Malakal to reinforce the UK government’s commitment to the success of the UN Mission to South Sudan.
