Women need to be recognized while people settle marriage issues, Acting Chairlady of Yei River County urges male counterparts.

Hawa Adam told Radio Easter that women should be called when two clans gather to resolve marriage issues.

She appeals to Community Initiative for Development Organization to address women’s right in South Sudan.

She believes when a woman becomes a widow she faces a lot of oppression from relatives in terms of property inheritance.

The Acting Chairlady was speaking to Radio Easter during a talk show on Friday in Yei.
