Deputy Governor of Yei River State accuses parents of failing to protect the rights of children in South Sudan.
Augustino Kiri Gwolo believes that those who are recruiting children into the army are parents and those taking up arms are parents, Radio Easter reports.
In order for children to have better life, there is need to make sure that they get education and feel secure, stresses the Deputy Governor.
He reiterates that it is a collective responsibility for all parents to work hard to end “the senseless war” so that kids enjoy better life.
The Deputy Governor was speaking during the celebration of African Child Day on Friday in Yei.
