The Sudan Revolutionary Front or SRF claimed that they attacked Sudan Armed Forces or SAF battalion on Tuesday and killed more than 60 SAF soldiers including a commander in Deleima, Dilling of South Kordofan.
SPLM-N spokesperson Arnu Ngattulu Lodi said their forces attacked SAF at 3 PM between Debeibat-Dilling and Furshaya,15 kilometres north of Dilling.
He added that dozens of SAF officers and soldiers were injured and captured, including Lt. Mohamed Mutwakil El Haj Asha of the 15th Infantry Division.
The SPLM-N spokesperson said they also seized nine military vehicles loaded with arms, ammunition, supplies and an anti-aircraft gun.
Mr Ngattulu said the SRF forces are in control of the area after they ‘drove off SAF troops.
