A Member of Western Equatoria State Legislative Assembly representing Ibba County on Thursday presented his communities’ concerns to the Education Minister in Yambio.

Alfred Rugapai said Ibba lacks secondary and upper primary school teachers, Anisa Radio reported.

He added that St Paul Primary School in Manikakara needs additional four class rooms to be a complete primary school.

Mr Rugapai said Maruko area lacks educational, health and other facilities.

Education Minister Pia Philip Michael answered that the government sent a number of teachers to Ibba County, but 16 of them deserted their work.

The minister called on headmasters and inspectors to keep teachers in schools.

Mr Philip urged Manikakara communities to contribute with local building materials for the construction of the remaining four class rooms.
